Who we Are

PolarSat was started in 2003 with the investment by our largest customers. This emphasis on the customer is part of our culture and is what PolarSat strives for today. We have focused on the private network portion of the satellite networking market to give customers control over their network. Our success in the private networking market has allowed us to develop our 5th generation MF-TDMA VSAT modem, VSATPlus®3. The VSATPlus® product line continues PolarSat’s 30+ years of satellite modem experience. In addition to VSATPlus 3 product we have developed a Network Management System, StreamView®Open, to provide the customer operational control of their entire network. We integrate VSATPlus 3 and StreamView Open along with other 3rd party equipment to provide complete Air Traffic Control network that provide the Aviation communications backbone for many countries around the world. Our name came from one of our engineers that noted that winter weather in Montreal Canada in 2003 was “Polar” and hence the PolarSat name was coined.
